With mixed emotions, CN 31-38 'October' is being offered for sale. She is being hauled out for the season today (10/10/07) at Portland Yacht Services in Portland, Maine and will be stored there for the winter months.
We have made the following upgrades since we bought her in 1998:
Algrip topsides- 2005
New spray dodger- 2005
New house and cranking batteries- 2006
New standing rigging and haulyards- 2004
New mainsail and 135% genoa of Hood Vectron- 2003
New interior apohlstery- 2002
New Simrad depth/speed/log- 2001
New shaft and cutlass bearing- 1999
She has her original Yanmar 2Q20H which continues to run well. She has a Hydrovane self steering vane, and Avon 4 person canister liferaft.

October has been sold. Her new owner will be sailing her transatlantic to Germany in June.
I've enjoyed this site from its beginning. Its a terrific resource.

Congratulations Steve,
Yet another American boat, suffering both the lack of appreciation on the part of the domestic market, and the pathetically devalued US$, (thank you George Bush), is bought by a European and returned to it's home waters. It's kind of sad, but come the day for me, I think I'll take her back and sell her there. With the english pound selling for $2.10 US it should prove worthwhile. Let's hear from her new Owner.
